The Island Table began with a simple truth: real cinnamon is rare. For centuries, Sri Lanka’s true cinnamon was so prized that explorers crossed oceans for it, empires fought over it, and entire trade routes were shaped by its aroma. Today, most people have never tasted the real thing.
We started The Island Table to change that and expose more of the world to this product. True Ceylon cinnamon isn’t just sweeter and more delicate — it’s naturally lower in coumarin and celebrated for its gentle, health‑supportive properties. Our cinnamon comes from local farms in Sri Lanka, where hand‑rolled quills are crafted with the same care that once made this spice worth more than gold. We pack each batch by hand here in Ontario, preserving the purity, flavour, and natural benefits that make real cinnamon so special.

Founders Note
I started The Island Table because I grew up with the real thing — the cinnamon that filled our home in Sri Lanka with warmth, sweetness, and a sense of tradition. When I came to Canada, I realized how rare that experience truly was. Most people had never tasted authentic Ceylon cinnamon, nor do they understand how beneficial it can be for our bodies.
This brand is my way of reconnecting with my roots and sharing a piece of home with you. Every pouch represents the farmers who hand‑roll each quill, the island that raised me, and the belief that simple ingredients can carry powerful stories.
